The Gameplay
The game adapts the comics into a loop you can play in a browser. Shopping is the calm phase. You create or generate the mall to populate the shops with stores, hallways, and kiosks. You shape the foot traffic flow and layout by improving checkout speed, signage, and store capacity.
You raise the violence slider to invite punks and gangs. When you turn up the dial, waves form along the concourses and around hot spots. You deploy heroes to fight off these enemies to protect the store and shoppers. To complete a level, you will have to clear all of the remaining enemies.
To recover and earn more money, you lower the violence slider to clear the floor. You recruit new heroes, collect new cards, and repair the mall. You decide when to go back up and where to take the next stand.
Each level is like a shift. You earn soft currency from shoppers and from small moments on the floor. You spend to hire, to repair, and to improve stores. You make choices in low violence that change how hard the next fight will be. Loss hurts but does not wipe your progress. If a hero falls while carrying a card there is a chance that card breaks. Broken cards leave salvage. Salvage stacks toward a rebuild so risk stays sharp without erasing momentum. Duplicate finds can convert into salvage or a small refund to keep your deck healthy.
