The Mall
The mall is the playable space for both calm and combat. Anchor stores, concourses, kiosks, and service corridors make up the floor. You build and run everything on this same map.
Shopping happens here during calm. Shoppers move, browse, and spend soft currency in your stores. You place and upgrade stores to shape performance. You use earnings to hire, to repair, and to improve the floor for the next push.
Fighting also happens here at higher violence. Punks and gangs enter the same lanes you manage. Combat can damage storefronts and fixtures and can scatter shoppers.
Damage remains until you fix it. Returning to calm lets you repair before you raise the violence again. Repairs and upgrades cost soft currency, so timing matters.
Shop cards can arrive during calm. You choose to accept them or pass. Action cards drop during fights. You equip during calm and commit while the slider is up.
Mall Creation
Mall creation is choosing which stores to open and where they go on the floor. During calm you claim storefronts, place new stores, and upgrade the ones you have. Placement and upgrades determine how well the mall earns and how much it can absorb damage before you push back into fighting. All of this happens on the same map you defend.
